We appreciate that recent events in parts of the Middle East may be causing uncertainty around your travel plans, particularly if your journey includes a connection through one of the region’s major hubs. This article gives the latest advice.
The FCDO has updated its travel advice for many middle eastern countries including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman. If you are planning travel to or through the region, you should check the latest FCDO travel advice here.

Register your presence with the UK Government to get the latest information.
If you have already travelled and are now in a Country where the FCDO has advised against travel your emergency medical cover will still be valid.
Should your journey home be delayed due to the conflict escalation your emergency medical cover will be extended to cover the remainder of your trip providing that you take the next available flight home.
Get in touch with your travel supplier (airline or cruise operator) as soon as possible to arrange the next available return travel.

In the first instance you should contact your airline or travel provider to rearrange your trip. If your flight or trip is cancelled, you may be entitled to a refund or alternative arrangement from your travel provider.
Please note: If you travel against FCDO advice, your travel insurance policy will be invalid.
There is no cover for events that have already happened before you buy your policy.
